The person who diagnoses it is the one who fixes it.

Atlas Mechanical is family-owned and owner-operated out of Lone Tree. Jared Bigham owns it and does the work himself. Erica, his wife, answers the phone. There is no call center, no rotating crew and no salesperson between you and the technician, which is the whole reason the pricing can be flat and the diagnosis can be honest.

Who you are hiring

Jared Bigham, owner and lead technician

Over 20 years in the trade, and an active Colorado journeyman plumbing license on top of the HVAC work. That combination is the unusual part. Most homes in the south metro need a heating company and a plumbing company, and the two rarely talk to each other. Here it is one person, one visit and one quote.

He does the work himself. The person on your roof or in your crawlspace is the owner. That is why the diagnosis and the repair never disagree.
Boilers and radiant heat are in scope. Much of the metro will only touch forced air. Older Littleton and Lone Tree homes are full of hydronic systems, and someone has to actually know them.
Altitude is not an afterthought. Gas equipment set off a sea-level chart underperforms on the Front Range even when nothing is broken. Charge and airflow get set for the conditions the equipment is really operating in.
Erica, his wife, runs the phone and the schedule. When you call, you get a person who knows what is on the calendar, not a dispatcher reading a script.
How the pricing works

Flat rate, quoted before anything starts

We find out what is actually wrong first, then give you one number for the repair. You approve it before any work begins. There is no hourly meter running and no commission-driven price book pushing parts you do not need.

Why we rarely quote a repair over the phone. A lot of people call with a diagnosis they already have, either from another contractor or worked out themselves, and it is often close but not exactly right. Confirming it in person is what stops you paying to replace a part that was never the problem.
Repair or replace gets answered honestly. If the system is worth fixing, we say so. If chasing repairs on it will cost more over the next few years than replacing it, we say that instead, and you get both numbers before you decide.
Tune-ups are the one flat published price. Furnace or AC is $129 each and a boiler is $189, because there is nothing to diagnose first. See what a tune-up covers →
